Ingredients
- 500g fresh beef minced
- 1 packet spaghetti
- 1 beef stock cube
- 2 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 2 canned diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 carrot, finely grated
- 2 cloves of Garlic, finely chopped
- Handful of Fresh Basil
- Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 fresh bay leaf
- Salt and Pepper.
Instructions
- Place a large saucepan on a medium heat, add olive oil and fry onion until golden, add carrots and garlic and keep frying until carrot tender.
- Stir in canned tomatoes, add the minced beef and let it browned.
- Add the tomato puree, basil, stock cube and bay leaf, season with salt and pepper and increase the heat slightly, cover the saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes, giving them a stir occasionally
- Add the parmesan during the last 5 minutes of cooking and stir till melted.
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions, drain and serve it topped with the bolognese sauce

Ingredients
- 3 large tomatoes, peeled, diced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- ¼ tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili flakes
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ¼ tablespoon fennel seeds
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- ½ cup water
- 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Add in a large stock olive oil sauté the onion, add the tomato diced stir for 5 minute or until tender add in the garlic, tomato paste and spices, pour the water and cover to gentle boil and cook for about 10 minutes, reduce to a simmer and uncovered for 5 minutes or until the liquid has evaporated.
- Transfer the sauce into jars and refrigerate until needed.
Notes
- Make sure that fresh tomatoes are deep in colour and juicy otherwise use the canned ones.
